Mr. Schley has almost three decades of experience in financial regulation and coporate business law. He also advises charities, private foundations and other exempt organizations on corporate governance and tax matters, and is a member of the California Bar's nonprofits committee. Mr. Schley has written federal banking regulations, has been General Counsel to a large NYSE-listed financial institution and has practiced with firms in New York, Washington, DC and Santa Barbara. He has authored or co-authored a report to Congress on the S&L crisis and articles on banking, business and tax-exempt law, and speaks on these subjects. Mr. Schley is a graduate of Hastings College of the Law (1980) and Westmont College (1977 magna cum laude).

 Mr. Look practices in the areas of general business, estate planning, wills, trusts, probate and trust administration, corporate law, real estate, tax planning and transactions, securities compliance and private placement. He has practiced business law in Santa Barbara County for nearly three decades.

Mr. Look is also actively involved in community affairs and generously gives his time to non-profit projects. He is a Board Member of Valley Haven, senior day center, and serves as Pro Bono Counsel to Santa Ynez Valley People Helping People, a local service organization. He is also a former President of the Santa Ynez Valley Bar Association, former President and Board member of the Solvang Chamber of Commerce, former Board Member of the Solvang Lutheran Home, former Board Member of Threshold Ministries, a Christian service and evangelical ministry, and former Board Member of the Santa Ynez Valley Economic Forecast Project.

Mr. Locker practices predominantly in the areas of business transactions and litigation, including commercial contracts, corporate actions and intellectual property.  He has represented large and small entities engaged in new and old economy businesses.  Prior to joining Schley Look Guthrie & Locker LLP, Mr. Locker practiced with a prominent civil litigation firm, trying cases throughout Central and Southern California, and in a solo capacity, serving commercial clients in Santa Barbara and in Los Angeles.
